Recorded between August and October of 2022, Nighttime is the debut EP from emerging Canadian artist, Barrhead. Nighttime’s contrast of the traditional band arrangement mixed with snarling synths is complimented by venomous and opaque vocals. It’s the soundtrack to an unseen, yet festering wound, screaming in the underground and cruising past a hundred underneath a full moon. Barrhead’s first six tracks put a fresh spin on triphop and further blur the lines of genres, taking inspiration from Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, and Tears for Fears among others.
