On April 6, 2026, during their flyby, the Artemis II crew watched the moon slide in front of the Sun. From that distance the Moon was large enough to hold totality for almost 54 minutes, far longer than any eclipse seen from Earth. A faint halo glowed around the dark disk as the Moon's hidden face was lit only by reflected Earth light. This is one unbroken piece, 54 minutes long, a minute for every moment of totality. It began as a sketch and eventually stretched to fill the whole eclipse. Guitars drift in and out of the dark, with a very quiet piano somewhere far behind them. It's meant to be heard in one sitting, ideally with the lights low.
